CIP – Confederation of Portuguese Business marked the official launch of the Academia CIP activities with the webinar «Simplifying Public Procurement: From the Legal Framework to AI Tools that Streamline the Process». The inaugural event focused on demystifying and facilitating the access of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to public tenders, and had as one of its main pillars a strategic partnership with RedOsprey.

Although representing a market worth billions of euros, public procurement was frequently underutilized by SMEs. During the session, it was noted that many companies avoided participating not due to a lack of capacity, but because they perceived the process as time-consuming, complex, and carrying a high degree of legal uncertainty.

It was precisely in combating this uncertainty that RedOsprey's intervention took on a prominent role. As a highly specialized law firm, RedOsprey ensured the essential regulatory rigor of the event. Their participation made it possible to translate the complexity of the law into clear and operational language, offering managers the legal security needed to move forward with public tenders without fear.

Complementing the technology company SpotGov, the session provided a complete and integrated vision — uniting the mastery of legal norms with the application of new technologies.

During the webinar, participants had the opportunity to:

  • Ensure legal security (with RedOsprey's contribution): Understand the legal framework and master the essential aspects to mitigate risk when analyzing and participating in public tenders;

  • Discover technological innovation: Learn about practical Artificial Intelligence tools that proved capable of automatically identifying relevant opportunities;

  • Increase efficiency: Learn joint strategies to save time, reduce operational costs, and transform public procurement into a lever for sustainable growth.

The event saw strong attendance from decision-makers, legal and financial directors, and operations managers. With the success of this initiative, Academia CIP took the first step in its mission to support modernization and competitiveness, showing that, with the right partners, public procurement has ceased to be an insurmountable obstacle.
